WELCOME TO hypha international school
Ages 3 to 11.

WHO WE ARE
Set within the Sintra‑Cascais Natural Park, Hypha is a specialized international school where the great outdoors is the fabric of daily learning. Reggio‑inspired indoor spaces open into forests, gardens, and living ecosystems that deepen both knowledge and wellbeing.
Hypha offers a coherent educational journey from early years through primary that is internationally recognized and delivered by highly trained educators. The curriculum grows in rigor and complexity with each stage, balancing strong academics, creativity, and autonomy. Within our close community, every child is known, challenged, and supported.
Learning at Hypha is physical and active, shaped by movement across inspiring spaces in our campus. Students also pause in stillness — to listen, to reflect, to write — because focus and quiet are also essential to learning.
We are proof that academic rigor and a nature-immersed, well-lived childhood belong together.
EDUCATIONAL STAGES
3 to 5 years old
Implementing the English curriculum and blending best practices from Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and Forest School we promote a holistic development in pre-primary. Our beautifully designed environments and highly trained, nurturing educators, provide an engaging and playful start to education.
5 to 11 years old
Guided by the Cambridge International framework and enriched with evidence-based curricula and holistic pedagogies, including Socratic Seminars, Singapore Math, outdoor learning, mastery-based approaches, and project-based learning, our students develop strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
hypha’s three pillars
nature immersion and Wellbeing
Our students spend three hours of every day outdoors, learning and exploring in the forest, gardens, and grounds. Time in nature shapes how children grow at Hypha. They are calm, focused, and well-connected to the world around them.
excellence in teaching and learning
Our educators are highly-trained and experienced. We invest in their continued growth through classroom observations, ongoing reflection, and high-quality international training. The result is teaching that is rigorous, thoughtful, and shaped by the children in front of us.
real-world competencies
We prepare children for the world they will actually live in. Through project-based learning, Socratic Seminars, and hands-on inquiry, our learners connect ideas to real contexts and develop clear thinking, real problem-solving, and the confidence to engage with hard questions.
