As Co-founder and General Manager of the Hypha Learning Hub, Jennifer brings 10+ years of experience as an engineer working in highly complex projects all over the world. Spending more time in Nature and living more in line with her values is what brought Jennifer and her family to Portugal. Jennifer’s roots lie in the Pearl of the Caribbean: Cuba. As a child, she spent long days climbing trees and wandering the countryside with her younger brother, connecting her with the Nature that surrounds us. She later moved to Miami where she grew up as a conventional overachieving student, while her brother rebelled against a traditional school system despite his exceptional talent with mechanical systems. Ultimately he followed his talents and passion, regardless of which grades he received in school. At the time, it was a struggle for everyone involved. Despite that, today he has a successful career that brings him joy. To Jennifer, he’s an example of how a traditional education does not serve those who dare to follow their interests. Jennifer is inspired by her brother’s courage and is passionate about making quality, nature-based holistic education available to children.
